We might have mentioned a little while ago about how we were working with Barwood Homes, selling the existing home of those people wishing to buy a brand new one direct from the builders.

We see this as a fabulous opportunity and we are not in the slightest bit concerned about the fact that we are always competing against another agent (as Barwood have traditionally dealt with 2 agents on each property). Bring on the competition we say!!
So, imagine how delighted we have been recently in selling three such dual-agent properties. The first was a cottage which we’d actually only sold to the owner 2 years before. They were very pleased to be dealing with us again as they knew how hard we work at getting the best sale in the shortest timeframe at the best price….and we did!

The second success came in the village of Burton on the Wolds where we found a buyer for a lovely bungalow – to the very first viewer! It rarely gets any better than that.

And thirdly, a beautiful apartment (also in Burton), where two other agents let the vendor down. One agent (our supposed dual-selling partner) did not take the time to call the client back to make an appointment for the valuation and another advised he would only deal with this property if he could charge an additional £300 or so for professional photos. At Strawberry we know the power of including professional photos within property particulars, but we would never dream of adding an extra charge. Some of the photo’s which were suggested within the proposal did strike us as being a little strange – think alarm panel here readers! – we’d much rather concentrate on the kind of features which entice viewings.

So, all 3 clients are happy and Barwood have taken the time to mention that it has been a pleasure to deal with Strawberry. When asked why they used us over the other agents in the area they remarked ‘if you want to sell your house you MUST use Strawberry’. Shall we just leave it at that?
